Ms Thai Kum Foon
joined the Company as Chief Financial
Offcer (CFO) on 2 January 2013. As CFO, Ms Thai has overall
responsibility of the Company’s fnance functions, including
fnancial reporting, corporate fnance, treasury, tax, insurance,
risk management and capital management of Straits Trading
and its group of companies.
Ms Thai has more than 20 years of industry experience in
fnancial management, corporate planning, corporate fnance,
treasury, tax, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations and
communications, legal, and corporate services functions in
various industries. Before joining Straits Trading, Ms Thai
held various senior fnance positions in multinational and
SGX-listed companies including Jaya Holdings Limited, IM
Flash Singapore LLP and CapitaLand Retail Limited.
Ms Thai graduated from the National University of Singapore
with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree. She is a Fellow of both
the Institute of Certifed Public Accountants of Singapore and
CPA Australia and an associate of the Institute of Chartered
Secretaries and Administrators.

Ms Chi Ping Huey
was appointed Group Counsel of Straits
Trading on 15 January 2013. As Group Counsel, she will
provide leadership for the Group’s legal affairs and corporate
governance.
Prior to joining Straits Trading, Ms Chi was the General Counsel
of SATS Ltd and headed its Administration and Governance
Division. She has also held various senior positions including
General Counsel and Company Secretary of Singapore Power
Limited and Head (Legal) of Singapore Aerospace Ltd. Ms Chi
has more than 20 years of legal experience. She began her
career with a major local bank and had also been in private
practice.
An OCBC scholar, she graduated from the National University
of Singapore with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree. She was
admitted as an advocate and solicitor to the Supreme Court in
1985. She is also a member of the Singapore Law Academy.
